Re: Roberto Jimenez

If that's true then why wasn't he if that's what the manager wanted?

Presumably, Manny also gave the nod to Arthur's lucrative contract renewal until 2024 even though it's clear he lacks the cognitive ability to improve as a player in the full back position

I always thought that Sasa Ilic would be responsible for the worst 90 minutes I’ve seen for a West Ham keeper - Roberto did it almost every game

Re: Roberto Jimenez
I agree with most of that, but I think more attention should be given to the three managers we’ve had who have left us in absolutely dire positions, Grant, Bilic and worst of all Pellegrini.

Something like 19 players left when Grant was sacked, and Bilic recruited something like 15 players who didn’t last 12 months

Pelegríni lumbered us with a crippling position, Retiring right backs on £90k a week, Sanchez never contributing anything in 2 years on £60k, no decent full backs, no decent striker, half a dozen wingers, and no decent cover for centre half or keeper. And all that on £10 million a year, and I bet they had to pay the cunt off and his joke sidekick.

Re: Roberto Jimenez
As with many fans, I think he's the worst goalkeeper I've ever seen at West Ham.

And I saw almost all of Allen McKnight's games (he was very bad).

Roberto has been worse. A joke of a signing. A cheapskate, GSB classic fudge.

Re: Roberto Jimenez
Definitely worse than McKnight. Although he didn't play as many games.

McKnighmare

Re: Roberto Jimenez
Closest recent goalkeeping performance we’ve had to McKnight was Flappyhandski at Anfield.

He cost us 3 points that night. He was lucky we still managed to stay up at a canter and it didn’t cost us dearly.

Hard to say.

Pellegrini was showing signs of dementia, I’m sure of it.

goose thought he was doing a great job though.

Re: Roberto Jimenez
I am still in disbelief that Pellegrini wanted him as our number one a year earlier before we bought Fabianski.

Roberto and Carlos Sanchez are 2 of the worst signings in our history and they were entirely the choices of Pellegrini.

He deserved to be sacked just for that alone.

Let’s just hope he can catch a plane.

Re: Roberto Jimenez
He was terrible in pre season last year

Look up the cup highlights where doesn’t even dive for any of the four goals he concedes.

Genuinely looked like a random player from back in the day, who’d stuck his hand up to go in goal when the keeper got sent off. Dicks player better than him when he went in goal. And Lansbury.

I would say I wish him luck, but he’s used all that up by somehow managing to get another contract as a professional footballer somewhere.

It’s whoever he plays for that needs the kick

I've had discussions with some of them, and yes, they see it as a positive, to be honest so do I, and I hope he gets game time for them
could be absolute comedy gold
